Lend a hand at Awbury Arboretum's community food forest! This work day will focus on scouting orchard pests & diseases and demonstrating ecological management techniques. Followed by orchard tour at 1pm and POPCORE workshop at 2pm.
Celebrate Juneteenth in Germantown by lending a hand at Awbury Arboretum's community food forest! Help out with seasonal tasks to care for the food forest's diverse fruit trees, berry bushes, pollinator and medicinal plants. This work day will focus on scouting orchard pests & diseases and demonstrating ecological management techniques. Followed by orchard tour at 1pm and POPCORE 2 workshop on Eco-Orchard Pest & Disease Management starting at 2pm.
