We’re reaching out with some big news as we enter a new phase of growth for POP.

After years of growing this work together and guiding POP’s mission, from designing and planting orchards and deepening community connections to expanding our programs and impact, we’re preparing for an important transition and launching the search for POP’s next Executive Director!

We have helped lead POP since 2007: from its early days as a grassroots volunteer-led organization, with Kim serving on its board for seven years from 2009 to 2016, and Phil evolving from a volunteer to first staff member and then POP’s founding executive director. Since 2019, we have shared leadership of the organization as Co-Executive Directors and have overseen significant growth of the team, expanded the budget through sustainable funding streams, and furthered POP’s impact through new partnerships and programs.

At the same time, we recognize that the path forward in POP’s continued evolution is for us to shift to new roles within the organization to make room for new leadership. We will work closely and collaboratively with POP’s board and staff to ensure a thoughtful transition into this next phase.

We are proud that POP has become a trusted force for food justice, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment, and we remain deeply committed to helping POP continue to thrive.
