Open Orchard & Herb Tasting — Woodlands Bat Night (Rain date: 9/19)
Don’t miss Bat Night at The Woodlands, part of their ongoing Nature Nights series, and please also come by to explore the POP Learning Orchard! The orchard will be open to visitors from 6-8pm and we invite you to come see what’s growing. Take a self-guided tour and try our Tree Finder Map to learn more about the specific tree varieties.
During this time we will also be tasting some herbs that grow in the understory of our fruit trees! Join staff member Carolina as we sample anise hyssop, mint, marigold, basil, thyme and peach leaf. They will be stationed at a table in the orchard.
Explore The Woodlands after dark with a casual evening full of urban biodiversity. Discover some of the mysteries of the urban wildlife that calls The Woodlands home and learn ways to be a Citizen Scientist. Remember to pack a picnic and a flashlight!
Advanced Registration is not required, but is highly recommended. Nature Nights are free and open to the public. Please consider paying what you can or making a donation to support The Woodlands and future Nature Nights.
There will be limited parking available, so consider walking or biking to Nature Night. Visit The Woodlands’ website for more information about getting here.
