Harvest, taste, and learn to love the delicious, native Amelanchier just as much as we do at UPenn's East Campus!
Harvest, taste, and learn to love the delicious, native Amelanchier just as much as we do! Commonly referred to as the Juneberry, Serviceberry, Shadbush, Saskatoon, and more, Amelanchier berries taste like a blueberry-cherry with edible almond seeds, and they're planted ALL over Philly as landscape plants, street trees, and in POP's community orchards. We're hosting harvests, as well as local food and beverage industry features. Bring your own harvest bag and bucket.
