POP Education Director Alyssa Schimmel and Penn Park Orchard Intern Olivia Bridges will discuss the growing of, myth surrounding, and the culinary and medicinal uses of elderberry along with its formulatory conspirators: ginger, cinnamon, cloves (along with their local wild analogues).  Attendees will leave with their very own bottle of the immune-boosting syrup!

POPHarvestED brings together community teachers to lead food, medicine, and craft workshops on underknown plants of POP orchards and our regional ecosystem.
